July 2004 - Firetrap 66

Twisted Thoughts Launch Party

1,500 party goers: some dressed as their twisted thought (and others just acted them out), 3 rooms, 16 live performances from hip hop to thrash rock, a very generous drinks sponsor, 4 nurse pole dancers, a haunted Hotel 66 crammed full of twisted artworks, a garden shed, hospital beds and a seven foot gnome named Deadly…what kind of twisted idea for a party is that?

In true form to their A/W 04 “Deadly denim Twisted thoughts’ campaign Firetrap threw an unprecedented event of epic proportions on Thursday 1st of July at Canvas in Kings Cross until 2am.

As the sun rose over London's streets on Friday July 2nd self-inflicted groans emitted from beds, buses and who-knows-where-else all over the nation's fine capital, confirming that Firetrap sure knows how to throw a party!

Calls came thick and fast from our brave soldiers, wounded in action, comparing battle scars and tales of adventure from the night before - our favourite being the one about the fellow in a dress and nothing else who taped his ticket to his modesty and gave the doormen and everyone else a piece of his umm... mind.

And to all those that lost theirs, Firetrap and Sebor Absinth TM would like to thank the many perverted party people that came, saw and conquered Canvas that full moon night... apologies for those who had to wait in the queue – we reached venue capacity early in the night.

The drink may be gone but the memories live on... until the next one!

Sebor Absinth TM were, of course, on hand all night to provide suitably twisted liquid refreshment for the performers and party-goers with a custom designed & built bar and display designed by Syrox.
